Privacy Policy

The Simple Truth
I'm not collecting your data. Period.
Manaby was built for my personal use. I don't want anyone tracking me, so I'm not going to track you either. This isn't a marketing promise or fine print trickery. It's just common sense.
This page exists because apparently you need a privacy policy to have a website these days. So here it is.
What Data I Collect
None.
Let me be more specific:
- No browsing history
- No search queries
- No cookies (except the ones websites you visit set themselves)
- No analytics
- No tracking pixels
- No fingerprinting
- No telemetry
- No "usage statistics"
- No crash reports (unless you explicitly send one)
- No personal information
Your data stays on your device. That's where it belongs.
Why No Data Collection?
Because I built this browser for myself, and I don't want my data collected. It's that simple.
There's no business model here that requires your data:
- No ads to target
- No investors to impress with "user metrics"
- No data to sell to third parties
- No "strategic partnerships" that need your information
I'm sharing this browser because I think it's useful, not because I want to build a surveillance empire.
Third-Party Services
Manaby doesn't integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
However, keep in mind:
- Websites you visit can still track you (that's on them, not me)
- Your ISP can see your internet traffic (use a VPN if you're worried)
- The browser uses standard web protocols that may reveal your IP address to websites
I can't control what websites do, but I can control what this browser does. And this browser doesn't spy on you.
Local Storage
Like any browser, Manaby stores some data locally on your device:
- Bookmarks
- Browsing history (stored locally, never sent anywhere)
- Passwords (if you choose to save them)
- Settings and preferences
- Cache and temporary files
All of this stays on your device. I don't sync it to any cloud service, and I don't have access to it.
You can clear this data anytime through the browser settings. It's your data, your device, your choice.
Updates and Communication
The browser may check for updates, but this is done in the most minimal way possible:
- No user identification in update checks
- No tracking of who's using what version
- Just a simple "is there a new version?" check
There are no newsletters, no marketing emails, no "stay connected" campaigns. I built this browser to browse the web, not to build a mailing list.
Trust and Open Source
I know what you're thinking: "How do I know you're telling the truth?"
Fair question. The source code is currently private, which means you have to take my word for it. If that's not good enough for you, I completely understand. Use a different browser.
Here's what I can tell you:
- I built this for myself first. I don't want to be tracked either.
- There's no business model that requires data collection
- I have no investors demanding "user insights"
- This is a personal project, not a data harvesting operation
You'll have to decide if that's enough for you.
Changes to This Policy
If I ever change this policy, I'll update this page. But honestly, I can't imagine why I would.
"We're not collecting your data" is a pretty simple policy that doesn't need much updating.
Legal Stuff
Some jurisdictions require certain legal language in privacy policies. So here it is:
Manaby does not collect, store, process, or share any personal data. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not employ analytics services. We do not engage in data mining or user profiling.
There. That should cover it.
Questions?
If you have questions about this privacy policy, you can reach out through the channels on the main website.
But really, what more is there to say? I'm not collecting your data. End of story.
Bottom line:
Your privacy is not a feature. It's not a selling point. It's not a competitive advantage. It's just basic respect. I built this browser the way I wanted it, and I don't want to be tracked. So you won't be tracked either. Simple as that.
